What is the Path Program

The path program, much like the EASE Program before it is an initiative of the Health Association Nova Scotia Trustees. The intent of the Path change was to more accurately represent the services the program provides. In the words of the program director, “the new name more accurately reflects the purpose and essence of the program. It’s personalized, flexible and designed to ensure eligible employees received the support and assistance they need along their journey to getting well”.

The path program is fully funded through the LTD contributions paid by both employees and employees. It is available to Plan members who have been absent from work for 21 days due to an illness or injury that is not related to worker’s compensation (WCB). The path program tailored for the worker may include physiotherapy, massage therapy, counselling, functional assessments, job site analysis, nutrition consults, gym memberships, etc.
