Shaelyn Masters

Shaelyn started her legal career working at IMP as a summer student. The following summer, she worked at NOVA Injury Law. After completing her work as a summer student, Shaelyn chose to begin the next chapter of her legal career by accepting the position of Articled Clerk at NOVA Injury Law.
As an Articled Clerk, Shaelyn frequently works with clients to understand their claim and how it has impacted their lives. Several of her close family members have been in motor vehicle accidents, so she has a deep understanding of the impact that injuries and loss can have on one’s life and one’s family.
Shaelyn cares deeply about ensuring that your concerns are heard and that you understand what is happening in each step of the claims process and why. While she understands that no amount of money can replace what you have lost, she is committed to providing you with excellent customer service that will get you a fair result.
Shaelyn grew up in Spryfield, Nova Scotia, moved to Ottawa for a year, then returned back to her hometown to complete her university education. She obtained a Bachelor of Political Science and a Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University. While at Dalhousie, Shaelyn participated in many volunteer initiatives including raising scholarship funds for other students.
Volunteerism is one of Shaelyn’s passions. As a child, she would participate annually in the McIntosh Run Cleanup. As she grew up, Shaelyn continued to volunteer in local events including the Halifax Busker Festival. Outside of work and volunteering, Shaelyn can be found spending time with her partner and their cat, Hamilton. She frequently enjoys trying out new restaurants in Nova Scotia and checking out local campgrounds.
