Sam Perlmutter
Sam was called to the Bar in both Ontario and Nova Scotia after completing an articling term with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Sam obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy from the University of New Brunswick and a Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University.
Sam has previously worked in a number of fields, including consulting, landscaping, food service, and outdoor education, among others. Sam himself suffered from a workplace injury not long ago and understands some of the obstacles that may prevent an accident victim from being able to access benefits. These experiences help Sam empathize with Clients and the challenges they may be going through.
Sam grew up in a suburb outside Toronto before moving to Fredericton to attend university. Two years later, Sam returned to the East Coast to attend law school in Halifax. Sam enjoyed his time in Halifax so much that he stuck around after graduation, spending over a year working at a local butcher shop. During this time, Sam also met his wife. Following her graduation from law school, Sam and his wife moved back to Toronto to focus on their careers. After a brief time in Toronto, Sam and his wife were absolutely thrilled to have an opportunity to return to Halifax and settle down.
Sam cares deeply about ensuring that your concerns are heard and that you understand what is happening in each step of the claims process and why. He is committed to providing you with excellent customer service that will achieve you a fair result.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys rock climbing, cycling, cooking, and spending time outside. On weekends you can usually find Sam out on a hiking or climbing adventure with his dog, Rosetta, or in the kitchen crafting his next meal.
